Coming Soon: Comp Tickets: Any Ticket Type, Free of Charge

Every event creator has people who should walk in free: ticket giveaways from your social accounts, the sponsor's team, the radio host who plugged you all month. Comp Tickets, coming soon to the Creator Portal...real complimentary tickets, sent by email, at no charge to the person receiving them. When you need something more than just the guest list.

Real tickets, not names on a list

A comp on Nrby is not a note at the door. It is an actual ticket: it arrives by email like any purchase, carries a QR code, scans at the door like everything else, and counts against your ticket availability so your capacity math stays true.

That last part matters more than it sounds. When comps live outside the ticket system, your "sold out" is not really sold out, and your door counts drift away from reality as the night goes on. Real comp tickets keep one set of numbers for the whole event, from on-sale to sold-out.

One at a time, save some time with a batch

Sending a single comp takes seconds: enter the details and it is on its way. For bigger groups you can upload a CSV and send comps as a batch instead of one by one.

Either way there is a review step before anything goes out, so you can catch the mistyped email address or the duplicate row before fifty tickets fly. It is the same look before it commits pattern the portal uses for guest list imports, and it exists because everyone's spreadsheet can have one bad row.

Where comps earn their keep

Comps are a tool, and the best organizers spend them deliberately. Artists' guests keep your talent happy. Press and influencers can turn one free entry into coverage that outlives the night. Sponsors see their people treated well without a single hiccup moment at the door. A few well placed comps for community regulars fill the early, awkward hour of a room. For the strategy side... how many, for whom, and when to not send one see the comp tickets guide.

A smooth door process

Because comps are real tickets, your door needs no special process for them. No separate list, no "let me find a manager," no judgment calls in front of a line. They scan like every other ticket, land in your attendance counts, and show up in your reports afterward. And when someone needs list treatment instead such as party check-ins, VIP access levels, table service... that is what guest lists are for; comps and guest lists work side by side.
