"The Locus Award Winner That Redefined Romantasy. " (Grabs attention with its pedigree and genre influence) .

A nation born of angels. A woman born to servitude. A secret that could save or destroy her world.

In a glittering alternate Renaissance world where "love as thou wilt" is the whole of the law, Phèdre nó Delaunay was born with a red mote in her eye—the sign of Kushiel's Dart. Trained as a courtesan and spy, she is a woman who finds pleasure in pain. But when she uncovers a plot threatening the very foundations of her homeland, she is thrust into a world of deadly courtiers, heroic traitors, and a Machiavellian villainess.

This is not a light read; it's an epic saga of intrigue, betrayal, and resilience that will have your book club debating loyalty, power, and the nature of sacrifice.
