As the only hospital east of the Anacostia River providing maternity care, we are proud to offer:

- 4 private labor and delivery suites - 14 private postpartum rooms (including 4 antepartum/observation ready rooms) - 2 cesarean operating rooms - Dedicated post-anesthesia care unit - 24/7 OB emergency care - Dedicated hospitalist care, 24/7 - Specialized midwifery care - Low intervention birth services - Skilled nursing team - 5-bed Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nursery - Multiple levels of infant security on a secured floor/unit - Postpartum support for lactation, recovery and newborn care

Our large, family-friendly birthing suites create a supportive environment for moms and babies. Our Women’s Services unit also offers two (2) cesarean operating rooms, midwife care and a dedicated post-anesthesia care unit.

Visitors to the Family Birth Center must be age 12 or older. Thank you for your cooperation and for being an advocate for the health and care of your loved ones and all hospitalized patients.
