Trauma can lead to behavior that undermines the wellness of the individual and the community, which can increase potential harm for participants and providers. This training provides grounding in culturally responsive, developmentally appropriate tools to effectively address these challenges.
Goals
· To increase participants understanding of trauma informed, healing centered, crisis management, and de-escalation
· To provide developmentally helpful practical tools to assist in effectively addressing crisis management and de-escalation.
Directions to location: The English Language Institute is conveniently located at Embarcadero 1, just a five-minute walk from the Embarcadero BART Station, at the corner of Front Street and Sacramento Street.
When you arrive at Embarcadero 1, take the escalators up to the second lobby level. Once you reach the top of the stairs, you will see the school to your left. Our building does not have suite numbers, but we are easy to find!
Parking and Public Transportation:
- A paid parking garage is available in the building. - Metered street parking is also available nearby. - We are conveniently located near multiple MUNI and BART lines, as well as the Cable Car.

Please arrive on time and be prepared to actively participate in the workshop. Workshop location and other important details will be included in your Eventbrite registration confirmation.
If you do not receive your Eventbrite confirmation email, please check your junk or spam folder. If you still cannot locate it, contact the TA/CB team.
If you have registered for a workshop but are no longer able to attend, please cancel your registration through Eventbrite or notify the TA/CB team as soon as possible. This helps us make space available for other participants.
Participation
Our workshops are designed to encourage collaboration, creativity, learning, and sharing. Because these sessions are interactive and in person, participants should be prepared to engage in activities, discussions, reflection, and group learning.
We understand that participants may have competing responsibilities. If you have questions or concerns about your ability to participate fully, please reach out to the TA/CB team.
