Join us for free play and a beginner riichi mahjong lesson! Lessons are reserved via email and first-come, first served.

Join us for free play and a riichi mahjong lesson on Wednesday at the Bowman library! All materials will be provided, but players are encouraged to bring their own riichi mahjong sets and materials. There is no entry fee for playing.

Riichi mahjong is a strategic game played with resin tiles, centered around completing winning patterns of tiles before anyone else. This game is equal parts luck and skill, and bolsters your critical thinking skills as you learn and play.

Seating for the hands-on beginner riichi mahjong lessons must be reserved ahead of time. Email Rushali Barman at rbarman@handleyregional.org to reserve your spot!
